Let’s jump right into why my morning routine of water, lemon, and olive oil works wonders for my body! Here’s the full breakdown of how each part benefits your health:
💧 Water
Drinking water first thing in the morning is a game-changer! It kickstarts your metabolism 🔥, helps flush out toxins 🧹, and boosts your overall energy levels ⚡. Water rehydrates your body after a night’s sleep, preparing you for a productive day ahead. It’s as simple as it gets, and it’s essential for staying healthy!
🍋 Lemon
Adding a squeeze of lemon to your water does more than just taste great—it’s a natural detoxifier! 🍋 Packed with vitamin C, lemon supports your immune system 💪, aids digestion 🥗, and can even promote better bowel movements 🚶♂️. It’s also filled with antioxidants that are great for glowing skin ✨.
🌿 Olive Oil (Extra Virgin!)
Now, let’s talk about olive oil! Make sure you’re using extra virgin olive oil with less than 5% acidity for the best quality. Extra virgin olive oil is loaded with healthy fats that are fantastic for heart health ❤️. It can help lower bad cholesterol and reduce inflammation 🌱. Plus, it’s great for satiety, meaning it’ll make you feel full longer and help curb unnecessary cravings 🍽️.
It’s a natural and invigorating way to start your day!
After 30 minutes, I prepare a nutrient-rich green smoothie using a single type of leafy green vegetable, blended with either an apple or green grapes. Here’s why this combination is so powerful:
🥬 Green Leaves
The leafy greens are packed with vitamins and minerals that are essential for your overall health. They support detoxification, enhance digestion, and provide a rich source of iron, calcium, and fiber to keep you energized and balanced throughout the day.
🍏 Apple or Green Grapes
I add either an apple or green grapes to sweeten the smoothie naturally. These fruits are loaded with vitamins (especially Vitamin C) and antioxidants that help combat free radicals and reduce inflammation. They also provide a refreshing sweetness that makes the smoothie delicious! 🍇🍏
🧄 Garlic (Optional)
You can also add two cloves of garlic to your smoothie. While garlic has a strong flavor, it brings incredible health benefits. It is known for its immune-boosting properties 🦠 and its anti-inflammatory effects. Garlic has been used for centuries as a natural remedy to fight colds, improve heart health, and detoxify the body.
💡 Note: Be careful with the garlic’s strong taste—it adds an unexpected kick to your smoothie! If you’re not accustomed to it, start with a small amount.
This smoothie is a great way to pack in essential nutrients and start your day with a boost!
About 1-2 hours after my morning routine, depending on when I start feeling hungry,
I prepare a rich salad packed with raw vegetables. focusing on a variety of colors to maximize the nutritional value. I make sure to include onion, garlic, or both, as they not only add flavor but also provide additional health benefits, like supporting digestion and boosting immunity. 🥗🧄🧅
Alongside the salad, I prepare a scrambled egg using two eggs, tossing one of the yolks to keep it lean. I also add oats and a tablespoon of baby formula protein powder for extra nutrients and protein. This combination helps to keep me full and provides a steady source of energy. 🥚💪
I enjoy this meal by pairing it with the salad and enhancing the flavor with a generous drizzle of tahini for a deliciously creamy finish! 🌿🍴
If you prefer, you can get creative with your scrambled eggs by adding your favorite ingredients—onion, garlic, spices like turmeric and black pepper, or any other items you enjoy. In winter, I often add turmeric and black pepper to strengthen my body against the cold season. 🧡🌶
✨ Tip: You can keep the fresh salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days to enjoy it later!
This combination is quick, nutritious, and packed with essential nutrients to fuel your day!
Consuming a well-balanced breakfast that includes a combination of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats establishes a positive tone for the day. This aids in regulating blood sugar levels, preventing the energy slumps and sugar cravings often experienced later in the day. Furthermore, it can play a role in promoting better weight management by decreasing the likelihood of overeating later in the day.
